DDA Competition Program Family?

2026-2027 Competition Program Audition Process

We have 3 separate levels of competition teams at DDA.  Please review the commitments and requirements for each one – below is listed the audition process for each level.

Regional Team Auditions:

• Dancers need to enroll in all styles that they would like to be considered for placement during the summer season –  July 6 – July 30, 2026.
• The teachers will watch throughout the summer classes and place in levels based on their class work.
• Regional Team dancers do NOT need to sign up for an additional audition.

National Team Auditions:

• Dancers need to enroll in all styles that they would like to be considered for placement during the summer season – July 6 – July 30, 2026.
• Dancers also need to enroll in ONE SESSION for the Technique placement (also known as auditions) during the month of July.  Cost for the audition is $40 per dancer.  These auditions are offered July 8, 16, and 20, 2026.
• National Team Dancers will be placed based on class work, technique placement day, and other requirements.

Travel Team Auditions:

• Travel Teams are our Elite Level of teams – please check requirements before signing up for this level of auditions.
• Dancers need to enroll in all styles that they would like to be considered for placement during the summer season – July 6 – July 30, 2026.
• Dancers also need to enroll in ONE SESSION for the Technique placement (also known as auditions) during the month of July.  Cost for the audition is $40 per dancer. These auditions are offered July 8, 16, and 20, 2026.
• Dancers ALSO need to enroll in the Travel Team Tryout for the specific style of dance they are interested in.  (Tap, Jazz Character, Contemporary, and Hip Hop are offered – these are for the Guest Choreographed pieces.  This audition takes place on June 6, 2026.  Enrollment is open on the website.  There is no additional charge for this.  Video links for the dancers to learn the audition piece will be sent out a week prior to auditions.  You MUST be enrolled in order to see the videos
